Hi again Jason. Thanks for the info,but I am still confused: your directions mention FS 24 and the Staircase Campground, where the North Fork Skokomish trail begins, while the Upper South Fork Skokomish trail begins at the end of FS 2361 (that was the gate I was worried about). I would be interested in going on either hike and will know for sure tomorrow if I can do it and then RSVP. Thanks for organizing! :)

hi jason...I might be interested in the sunday hike, just one question: when I tried to do that hike before in winter, the gate on the road to the trailhead was closed, so I was wondering if they now keep it open in winter. otherwise you can't really get to the trailhead. thanks, ruth
